The annual meeting of the NHSFA will be September 21, 2019 at the New Hampshire Fire Academy on Smokey Bear Blvd. All fire service personnel are welcome to attend.
This year we have Captain Joe Nedder with Cross St. Associates Uxbridge, MA as our featured speaker. He actively served on the line for over 36 years, and has continued to serve as a professional Fire Service trainer. He has held various ranks including Lieutenant, Captain and Training Officer. Nedder has been a Fire Service Instructor for over 30 years. Joe has written numerous articles for Fire Engineering, and has taught at every FDIC since 2010. Joe is the author of the text book Rapid Intervention Crews published by Jones and Bartlett and is currently writing an book entitled Managing Risk in the volunteer Fire Service for PennWell due out in early 2020.
Joe will speak on Managing Risk in the Volunteer, On-Call and Non-Urban Fire Service.
Managing Risk in our Fire Service is one of the most important yet frequently ignored fire ground management skills. It is further compounded by a lack of understanding and a lack of training as to why we need it, how it works and how to use it.

The One Hundred eighteenth meeting of the NHSFA was held at 10 AM at the New Hampton Fire Station on November 4th 2017. Nominations and elections of officers was held. Glenn Davis of Moultonboro Fire Department was elected as President. Michael Hoisington, Deputy Chief (ret). Of Hooksett Fire Department served the association for 9 years as President.
Glenn Davis presented Michael Hoisington with a commemorative axe for his years serving as President of the association. Glenn noted President Hoisingtons dedication to the association and the changes made to help the association during his tenure. Many accomplishments from the implementation of the web site to the continuation of the memorial and communications with other fire organizations in the state.
The elections of officers included Tom Green of Bedford Fire as First Vice President, Peter Donavan, Berlin Fire as Second Vice President, Rick Eichler Chief Ret. Gorham Fire as Treasurer, Karen Eichler, Gorham EMS as Secretary. Corey Fecteau of Bedford Fire elected a second 3 year term as the Hillsborough County Representative.
