NHSFA Annual Meeting

The annual meeting of the NHSFA will be September 21, 2019 at the New Hampshire Fire Academy on Smokey Bear Blvd. All fire service personnel are welcome to attend.

This year we have Captain Joe Nedder with Cross St. Associates Uxbridge, MA as our featured speaker. He actively served on the line for over 36 years, and has continued to serve as a professional Fire Service trainer.  He has held various ranks including Lieutenant, Captain and Training Officer. Nedder has been a Fire Service Instructor for over 30 years.  Joe has written numerous articles for Fire Engineering, and has taught at every FDIC since 2010. Joe is the author of the text book Rapid Intervention Crews published by Jones and Bartlett and is currently writing an book entitled Managing Risk in the volunteer Fire Service for PennWell due out in early 2020.

Joe will speak on Managing Risk in the Volunteer, On-Call and Non-Urban Fire Service.

Managing Risk in our Fire Service is one of the most important yet frequently ignored fire ground management skills. It is further compounded by a lack of understanding and a lack of training as to why we need it, how it works and how to use it.

Captain Joe Nedder
